Artist's Comments

I once heard on the streets that you can't trust the ones with cameras. Yes, I know its "just another black and white image of a homeless person" and all that crap. But if you think about it, photographers are some of the most generous people in the world because not only do we, or at least I do, give money to those that I take photos of when they need it, but we also give those people unknown fame and recognition in the world. We tell their story for all time and eternity.

I was walking under the Burnside Bridge in Downtown Portland, OR on a rainy saturday when I thought I really liked the pattern of the bridge and the garbage. Before I took the picture, I realized that it was a man and his possessions.

Critique appreciated.

nice dude. this is a good definition of street, especially for a beginner like you. You have a good eye.
And some balls too. I even have a hard time doing that...but I've moved away from homeless people and gone towards everyday people

When deciding whether to buy a Nikon or a Canon there really is only one difference: a clockwise or counter-clockwise zoom. Choose wisely.

well I've been shooting for about a year and a half now. I'm experianced with the processes, chemicals and film, just not the digital and commercial aspect.
