It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.
Big photography feature about Christmas, full of wonderful works and wise christmas quotations.
Happy holidays to you!

I have taken more photos of this Downtown Portland Street Performer than any other performer, easily. This is my favorite shot of him. It was taken on film and printed in a darkroom, then scanned. There is a crease at the bottom of the photograph because it is the end of a negative, but I think it really gives the print character. I took this photo while shooting with aimeelikestotakepics(you should look her up), and she has a similar photo that she took about a week earlier named

Did you burn him while you were developing, or is this just a negative scan? I feel like he needs to be lighter and around the edges needs to be darker, I feel like it's just really off right now. I really like the character of the film however compared to my digital shot of him, but I wish you could see more of his face and just more detail of him in general, and more integration of the light and dark rather than just him being all dark and the background being all light. Good job on all the favs, this photo is doing really well : ]
I actually printed this in a darkroom with a 5 filter and this is the way that it turned out. I dont remember the exact settings that I had going on. But Yes, I did scan this into my computer. I really like the darkness and contrast, I think he looks more mysterious and thats also what I like about film. thank you!
-- ~Shain Wiederholt wonderful! The composition, the mood, the darkroom work..
I read in your journal that you are new with digital photography, well if you need something, if you see a photo of mine and you would like to know "how"...just ask. Sharing is the most important thing in a community of photography, I think. Good shots!
